Today’s Scripture: And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper. Psalm 1:3

What are the results of meditating on God’s Word? Psalm 1:3 – this is the person who does not walk, stand, or sit with the ungodly, the sinners, or the scornful. This is the person that walks with the Lord and knows the value of His Word. This is the person that reads the Word, meditates on it and thinks on it. This is the person that the Word of God is changing.

This person is likened to a tree planted in a spot where it will survive droughts. The roots are constantly receiving the nourishment and benefits from the water. This tree will bring forth the fruit that it is supposed to, when it is supposed to. What a blessing a tree is that brings forth something good. Some trees are really good at providing shade, some trees provide fruit, and others provide homes for wildlife.

Do you want to be fruitful and prosper? I do. How can we unlock that? Delight in the law of the Lord. Delight in it, be excited about it. Know the value of the Word of God, and then read it, know it, and meditate on it. Continually think about the truth from God.

You life can be a blessing by showing others the goodness of God. I hope that is what you want. God wants us to share with others how He has blessed us. God doesn’t bless you just so you can be happy. God blesses you so that you can bless others. If God is blessing you and you stop blessing others, then He just might stop blessing you. When you keep the blessings to yourself, the gift becomes more important to you than the Giver. Always make sure the Giver of the blessings is the most important thing in your life.
