Today’s Scripture: And to wait for his Son from heaven, whom he raised from the dead, even Jesus, which delivered us from the wrath to come. 1 Thessalonians 1:10

There are some Christians that believe the church will go through some of the Tribulation. In 1 Thessalonians, in Corinthians, and many other places we read the clear doctrinal teaching of the return of the Lord to gather the church. The question for Christians becomes, “When will the Rapture take place?”

I believe the Rapture will take place right before the Tribulation. Some Christians believe it is in the middle of the Tribulation while others believe it is at the end of the Tribulation. If it were in the middle or at the end of the Tribulation, we would know exactly when it would be coming and there would be no waiting for the Son.

The other reason that we find is that Jesus has “…delivered us from the wrath to come.” If we were Raptured in the middle of the Tribulation, we would have to face the wrath of God through some of the judgments of the Tribulation. Likewise, if we were Raptured at the end of the Tribulation, we would have to go through even more judgment.  The only way we are going to be safe from the wrath to come must be if we are Raptured before the Tribulation begins.

While I do not think that the timing of the Rapture needs to be a test for fellowship, I do believe that it is important that we know Jesus is coming back, and we need to be living our lives in the light of His soon return.
