Today’s Scripture: How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher? And how shall they preach, except they be sent? as it is written, How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things! Romans 10:14-15

It’s up to us. The souls of the world are our responsibility. No, we are not responsible for their decision to accept or reject salvation, but we are responsible to share the gospel with them. It’s the reason we are still on earth. God could have taken us to Heaven immediately when we got saved and given the responsibility to share the gospel to the angels, but He wants us to be His messengers.

The world is dying and going to Hell. More people are dying every day than ever before. Yet, there are fewer and fewer evangelical missionaries going out to share the way to Heaven. Even as the false religions are reaching out, we are content to sit back and do very little. How do we think they will hear the good news? We know that unless they trust Christ, they will spend eternity separated from God. Yet, many times we aren’t willing to make an effort to change their eternal destiny.

The Apostle Paul states that they can’t trust Christ unless they hear. They can’t hear unless we preach, and we can’t preach to them unless we are sent. However, we can’t use this as an excuse because we have already been sent. Christ commanded, “Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.” (Mark 16:15) We have been sent; the process has been started. Now it’s up to us to go so that they might hear and believe.

They have no hope of eternal life without the truth, and they have no hope of the truth unless we bring it to them. No matter how hard they look, the world will never have the answer they need. Only we have the answer – the answer is Jesus Christ.

If we fail to tell them, we will be responsible. However, if we warn them and they don’t heed the warning, then they are responsible. (Ezekiel 33) We can’t force someone to believe, but if we don’t give them a chance to believe, how are they supposed to know that Christ died for their sins?

Let’s not fail in our mission. Christ has sent us, now we need to preach so that others can believe. If we don’t, billions of people will spend eternity separated from God because we didn’t tell them. Let’s share the gospel with someone today, and determine to be better witnesses of God’s plan of salvation.
