Today’s Scripture: But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed. As we said before, so say I now again, If any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed. Galatians 1:8-9
The above verses are a great example of God repeating Himself to emphasize a point. God repeats Himself several times in the Scriptures. Each time God repeats Himself, He has a purpose. Here, Paul (through the inspiration of the Spirit) gives a warning about preaching a false Gospel and repeats himself for emphasis.
Not only does God repeat the warning about false gospels, but God repeats the true gospel over and over again. God makes it very clear all over the Scriptures that salvation is not of works. Since God repeats this over and over again, this ministry repeats this over and over again. Here is a list of a few verses God clearly states that salvation is not of works.
Since God states over and over again that works are not part of salvation, it must be important that we understand this. The reason why this is so important is because this is the difference between salvation and condemnation, between Heaven and Hell. If you are trusting in just one work to help Christ save you, then you are not completely trusting Christ. It is so important not to add any works to the Gospel.
Then said they unto him, What shall we do, that we might work the works of God? Jesus answered and said unto them, This is the work of God, that ye believe on him whom he hath sent. John 6:28-29
Many people have asked, “What works do I have to do to be saved?” The only thing anybody can do is believe that Jesus already did everything on the cross and rose again. If God repeated the Gospel, we ought to repeat this important message to everyone.
