Today’s Scripture: Teach me thy way, O LORD, and lead me in a plain path, because of mine enemies.
Deliver me not over unto the will of mine enemies: for false witnesses are risen up against me, and such as breathe out cruelty. Psalm 27:11-12
Ask God to teach you His way. Get in the Word. Study the Bible. Pray. Give your energy to having God teach you what you need to learn. Be honest and open as God shows you what He wants you to do. Before you pick up the phone, pray. Before you talk to someone, pray. Before you preach, pray. Before you do anything, pray.
Ask the Lord to teach you His way. He will lead you into His path. This is a guarantee. When God teaches us, it always results in us being led on the path.
I can’t tell you how many times we prayed and asked God to show us what to do through the years and then God would show us in the most unique way. I can’t tell you how many times we drew plans on napkins in a cheap little breakfast café. We would plan and pray together and sure enough, God would give us direction.
Know this: when you take a stand in the church, you are going to have people who will not like it. It is a fact. It isn’t a fun fact. It isn’t fun to have people not like you, say stuff against you, and even plot to destroy you. Each time, God has showed me His way and He has delivered me from my enemies.
When you have a problem, the greatest thing you can do is tell your Heavenly Father. He knows all about what you are facing, but He wants you to tell Him what is going on, how you are feeling, and if you are thinking that you can’t keep going.
God knows every word that is on your tongue. He knows your heart, and He will give you guidance.
