Today’s Scripture: He giveth power to the faint; and to them that have no might he increaseth strength. Even the youths shall faint and be weary, and the young men shall utterly fall: But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint. Isaiah 40:29-31

It is amazing how often we forget about the power of God. Often, when there seems to be no solution, when we’ve exhausted all of our resources, God works a miracle. Have you experienced that? I’m not talking about some magic trick but a clear working of God’s hand.

I’ve discovered that God usually saves His greatest acts for the impossible times, so we depend on Him completely. He waits until we are at the end of our rope with no alternatives.

When the disciples looked to Jesus to feed the hungry multitude, all they saw were a few small loaves and fishes. There was no physical way to feed the crowd.

Life is full of those moments of seeming impossibility. Often, it may look as though there is no possible way out of our situation. Yet, God is waiting for us to be completely reliant on His power. He wants us to acknowledge our weaknesses and His strength. He wants us to check our “toughness” at the door and depend on His provisions.

Once we acknowledge our dependence on Him, He will give us the strength. Are you in a helpless situation? Are you in need of God’s power? Are you at the end of your rope? Trust in God. He will take care of you. That is His promise.
