Today’s Scripture: And he said unto me, It is done. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end. I will give unto him that is athirst of the fountain of the water of life freely. Revelation 21:6

As a father, I’ve been so blessed with two wonderful daughters, Amy and Erica, and I am now even more blessed with two wonderful grandchildren, Willow and Charlie. There is something amazing about witnessing the miracle of life coming in to the world.

Even more amazing than a child being born is seeing a lost soul pass from death to life. Sharing the good news that Christ died for our sins and offers His righteousness, then seeing someone act upon that offer of eternal life is one of the most exciting things to experience.

The greatest gift that has ever been given is life – eternal life. Because of the greatest generosity from the Greatest One, we have been spared the greatest loss and have the greatest certainty of the greatest gift.

“For God (the Greatest One) so loved (the greatest degree) the world (the greatest amount of people), that he gave (the greatest generosity) his only begotten son (the greatest uniqueness), that whosoever (the greatest invitation) believeth in Him (the greatest simplicity) should not (the greatest certainty) perish (the greatest loss) but (the greatest difference) have (the greatest possession) everlasting (the greatest length) life (the greatest gift).”

When we put a verse like this into perspective, it should make us so much more thankful for what God has done for us. Keeping our focus on His great love for us will help us to make it through the trials that we face. If you haven’t already, take some time to thank Him today for what He has done for you.
