Today’s Scripture: Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee. Hebrews 13:5

Technology is always changing. Companies are constantly trying to come out with the next must-have device. They are constantly feeding our desire to have the best. They don’t care if you have what you need; they want you to get their product – that’s what makes them money.

It would be difficult for most of us to live without the conveniences of computers, the internet, and cell phones, but do you need the newest, most powerful, and highest resolution available? Do you appreciate the fact that you even have a computer or cell phone, or are you ready for the next version to come out a week after you buy a new device? Much of the world doesn’t have access to these incredible inventions.

The Bible tells us in 1 Timothy 6:8, “And having food and raiment let us be therewith content.” If you are reading this, you have more than that. But why should we be content? We are to trust God to provide for our needs. As Christians, we have God’s promise to never leave us, nor forsake us. God is always with us so what else do you need? Determine to be content with what you have – because you have the best.
