Today’s Scripture: I will praise thee with my whole heart; I will show forth all thy marvelous works. I will be glad and rejoice in thee: I will sing praise to thy name, O thou most High. Psalm 9:1, 2

Some mornings, I enjoy taking a moment to remember all the places the Lord has allowed me to travel. Although I’ve enjoyed them all, Alaska has a special place in my heart. When I reminisce about what I saw on my trip there, I think of my favorite seven creatures that God has made. While my wife and I were there, we were able to see grizzly bears, moose, whales, eagles, salmon, caribou and Dall sheep. To me, these seven creatures serve as a majestic picture of what God can do.

When I considered these seven creatures, it reminded me of Revelation 5:12. In this verse, the seven things the Lamb deserves are listed: “…Worthy is the Lamb that was slain to receive power, and riches, and wisdom, and strength, and honour, and glory, and blessing.”

Think about it for a moment. When we create, we usually create something that we’ve seen, but God created them without any reference at all. In addition, the mountains, meadows, and tundra He created for them to live in are simply a fraction of what He is capable of. Yet, I marvel at the incredible beauty. Creation is amazing, but we are still looking at a fallen world. Imagine what God’s creation will be like when it is restored to its full glory!

I hope when you look at creation, it reminds you of what God deserves and that it fills your soul with wonder. Be worshipful every day in your thoughts and in everything you do. When you take a walk around your neighborhood and see the falling leaves, recognize how powerful God is. When you feel the wind pass through the trees, remember how strong He is. When you enjoy the beauty He created, praise Him, for He is worthy.
